SQLite DB Engine Close
Close method

Opens or creates a SQLite database.

Set db = Server.CreateObject("newObjects.sqlite.dbutf8")
If db.Open(Server.MapPath("/db/mydb.db")) Then
' Continue with the actual work
  ' ...
  ' Finish everything
' Deal with the error further
  Response.Write "Error occured: " & db.LastError
  ' ...
End If

In the most COM programming environments the object variables are released automatically when the program exits the scope where the variable is defined. The SQLite COM object interrupts all the running tasks and closes the DB when released. Therefore you can omit the Close call in most cases in which it is clear when the object will be disposed.

The method never fails.

Applies to: SQLite COM object
